Extrude from face, edge, line and sketch in Unigraphics NX 6

to start the extrude in NX 6 there are many options, you can use the extrude command from the sketch, line, edge, and face, various extrude option makes it easy for you to make part

Extrude from Sketch
Click Insert -> Sketch

Select Plane, XY, YZ or XZ, or you can choose face from objects that already exist
Draw your sketch, begin your sketch from line, or polyline, circle,etc. after your sketch was completed, finish your sketch (see picture below)

 

 then click icon extrude then on filter option select connected curves,

then : select your curve, then enter the Z value, click OK to finish it,

Extrude from Line
Make your line, or from exiting line, click extrude icon, on filter selection. Select single curves, then select your line

 

 on the dialog box like below, setting  your limit value, and offset setting, click OK, if finished

Extrude Face

Click extrude icon,on curve rule select face edge, then select the face of your part, Drag the arrow or enter the extrude value, clik OK to finished

Extrude sheet from single line, combine sheet using sew, and Joint Face

One of the ease of use unigraphics are many options available to establish a form of product, whether only with a line or directly from 3D products such as boxes, cylinders, etc., the following example will give you step by step how to make a sheet, from a straight line.

The second step, make sure the options are single curve, and then Extrude along a line with length up to you

Extrude along the line y direction x, and otherwise, to a line along the y Extrude along the direction x
Combine Sheet using Sew
SEW serves as a sewing machine that combines fabric with fabric, the fabric is a sheet unigraphics, during sheet attached to each other and no gaps, then it can be combined with command SEW
 Join face on sheet
Face joint face is very useful to combine in one body, because the face sheet which combined still leave the former for being a different face even been in one body.face that can be combined is still in one body and there is no gap that separates these two face
